Les morts de la rue

Volunteers of Paris based association Les morts de la rue (dead in the streets) take in charge and assist funeral services of homeless and lonely people who otherwise would have nobody to assist their funerals. During the funerals, volunteers read a text they prepared, based on the few informations (name, date of birth, city of birth, activity...) they managed to gather about the dead person. They bring a little humanity and dignity to the funeral service.

COROS was founded in 1943 by a group of stamp collectors who realized that Religion on Stamps was becoming so large that it required its own study society to keep up with new issues and report details of older ones.

Shay Kelley, jobless woman finds generosity on the streets

After losing her job and home, Shay Kelley was desperate: "I went off into the woods and I started yelling at God," she says. "I didn't know why God would lead me up to this point in my life just to have me left with nothing (...) I was like, 'Just tell me what my purpose is, tell me why I'm here and if you'll just tell me I'll work harder than for anything I have ever worked for anything else in my entire life.' "
