collection

Everything found in a flee market comes from a collection

Walking with a camera in flee market is like walking around what people collected in a life time. Colorful, even in a rainy day.

Disposable Cutlery

Sometimes they're called "plastic silverware", but the most accurate name is probably "single-use flatware" or "disposable cutlery". I have over 500 different kinds from over a dozen countries. Most of them are from the United States (because that is where I live). I have created a comprehensive classification system for these utensils, and I am currently writing a book about them. If you would like to know more, or if you have some utensils you would like to send/sell me, please contact ogmarshall@gmail.com.

Bakelite

Bakelite is an early form of plastic. I have collected it for many years, and can't seem to get enough. It is distinctly unique in the fact that when rubbed or warmed it smells like formaldehyde. My collection consists of anything and everything made of Bakelite, mostly jewelry and kitchen utensils.

Silent World

I collect insects. I pick them up and preserve into a little wood case someone gave me, I never do this if they are living. This is a little collection without scientific order, but I remember every place where I found one of them. For me this is a way to keep them alive in a Silent World.

Hand vase collection

My name is Marinka Bozzec, Sydney, Australia.
I collect glass hand vases, as well as vintage 1970s & 1980s pencil cases from Japan, novelty erasers, vintage 1980s Japanese stationery products. I also have a large collection of other types of vintage glassware, mostly from the Victorian era.
You can see more of my collections on my Flickr photostream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/26412154@N02/

My collection is all on display, some in glass cabinets & others on shelves.

Obsessions: mac & cheese

Here's an article on Pete Jordan's mac & cheese box cover collection that I did for my zine, LAB.

Antiques of the Future

Lisa S. Roberts has been a collector of things purchased from stores, websites, catalogs to be included in her collection 'Antiques of the Future.'
But only notable 'things' that have won design awards and/or designed by famous product designers/architects, and/or made stupendous marketing success, and the likes will make this list.

After 25 years and over 300 purchases later she has written a book by the same name describing how "anyone could have a museum-quality collection."

boxes, cups, trays, ...

This big collection belongs to an old man who has lived alone for his whole life. What makes this collection special, is the fact that he uses all these old things in his everyday life.
So if you go visit this man, you will have your tea served in a 100 year old cup.

Tin soldiers

This is not a big collection, but says something about the owner.
She is a 45 year old woman. She's a teacher, but she seems like an army general, and her collection is her own "army".

ladybugs

Another kind of collection. Box full of ladybugs. Collector collects anything.
