Disposable Cutlery

Sometimes they're called "plastic silverware", but the most accurate name is probably "single-use flatware" or "disposable cutlery". I have over 500 different kinds from over a dozen countries. Most of them are from the United States (because that is where I live). I have created a comprehensive classification system for these utensils, and I am currently writing a book about them. If you would like to know more, or if you have some utensils you would like to send/sell me, please contact ogmarshall@gmail.com.

The collector of everything

Inside a door next to my school i found him and his little universe of everything. He didn't want to say his name or pose for a picture.

Bakelite

Bakelite is an early form of plastic. I have collected it for many years, and can't seem to get enough. It is distinctly unique in the fact that when rubbed or warmed it smells like formaldehyde. My collection consists of anything and everything made of Bakelite, mostly jewelry and kitchen utensils.

A toda Máquina

He sits surrounded, brothers, remmingtons, olivettis, hermes rockets, smith coronas, stacked to the roof of his small store front. He's a relic amongst relics. he's their one and only technician, giving them all that mechanical love which is so rare in our estranged digital world.... Quito, Ecuador

Snoopy Addict

One Day, 30 years ago, Yves saw a little stuffed dog looking at him and thought something like "this dog taunting me".
Today Yves is 84, and the house is full of Snoopy(s), this little dog created by Charles M. Schulz.

Galip Hair Collector Turkey

Impressive! In 1979 Galip had the idea of collecting the hair of women and creating a Hair Museum - the purpose of which was to raise course participation. The idea received a lot of attention from both local and foreign women. He was hopping to find a wife with this collection and he got married to a woman from New Zealand. This collection has found its place into the Guiness Book of Records with more than 16.000 different hair examples and their addresses.

Antiques of the Future

Lisa S. Roberts has been a collector of things purchased from stores, websites, catalogs to be included in her collection 'Antiques of the Future.'
But only notable 'things' that have won design awards and/or designed by famous product designers/architects, and/or made stupendous marketing success, and the likes will make this list.

After 25 years and over 300 purchases later she has written a book by the same name describing how "anyone could have a museum-quality collection."

boxes, cups, trays, ...

This big collection belongs to an old man who has lived alone for his whole life. What makes this collection special, is the fact that he uses all these old things in his everyday life.
So if you go visit this man, you will have your tea served in a 100 year old cup.

Tin soldiers

This is not a big collection, but says something about the owner.
She is a 45 year old woman. She's a teacher, but she seems like an army general, and her collection is her own "army".
