Going out to dance

Dance is a series of infinitesimal poses, a succession of a million still frames, a reflection of its owner and of the party simultaneously. Or at least that's how it was for me when I came home and looked through shots that I found vibrant, of the moment and sometimes hilarious. Photographed through 2009-10 in various clubs and events in Amsterdam.

No shoes to dance with, Munich State Ballett

"No Shoes to Dance with" is a project that talks about theater dancers lifestyle.
Desillusioning banalities and routines as well as psychic hyperesthesia due to powerfull and deep passions. My pictures show the every day work life of the dancers at the Munich State Ballett. I shot them during rehearsals, while waiting, in the cloakroom, prepearing before and after performance.

Busker, Beijing

Beijing, Temple of Heaven.
The local and tourist crowd around this busker doing his wonderful performance. Is crazy to bend this way! He was also opening up bottles of beer and start to spray around during his dance. The loud stereo system adds additional mood to his performance! And his hair is absolutely gorgeous!

Dance in the Older Years

There are two options when it comes to life. We can choose to be closed and jaded or we can step out, tap into our collective confidence, and embrace whatever life throws our way. As we age and have a little less time on the planet, the decision we make has a more pronounced effect on our well-being and those around us.
