Rush Hour

It’s rush hour in rural Haiti, as market vendors load up their vegetables and hustle home on horseback before the rains come. The one-lane excuse for a road between Les Ceyes and Jeremie is so tight that when two trucks approach from opposite directions, each honks furiously until one gives in and backs up a steep cliff in reverse until it can pull aside. Now, a foreign company is turning that road into a major highway in a desperate effort to attract a more modern type of commerce to this isolated, donkey-driven region. But will they come?

The Red Ball

I once walked down to the sea, when upon chance a red ball fell at my feet. I looked for it's owner to no avail, I ignored it and walked on. I must have got another ten paces when my feet got tangled up, looking down I could see the culprit, again the red ball was there. It seemed to be following my path in the breeze. I picked up the ball and took it down to the shore , where I threw it about and took several pictures while the sun was setting. When I was done I gave the ball to a small boy who had been admiring it for his own.

Madagascar Sea Dump

Documenting the changes of landscapes in the city of Tulear, South Madagascar. Both images where taken in the same spot at different times of the day. However beautiful the land, Tulear's sea front is being used as a rubbish dump affecting the shores ecosystem.
