Hiding Dance

In the whirl of the Venice carnival, masks hide true identities. Anonymous couples dance together, communicating through whispers and the movement of their bodies.
From prints, paintings, and literature, groups recreate dances from the Victorian era, bringing to life scenes otherwise confined to the pages of Jane Austen novels.

Anonimo Veneziano

Venice - Lido, 2009 - My Holga and I on the beach. Strange atmosphere around us. Peculiar people on the sand. Mix of warm and cold colors in the air. I felt like I had been thrown back to the 60's. Took some shots. And here they are!
